Hunt County Deputies arrested 24-year-old Kenneth Earl Jackson III of Royse City on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Jackson had been on the run for three years following a bench warrant (BW) issued for his failure to appear in court on April 29, 2021 for Possession of Child Pornography. Additionally, two other warrants were issued for him for Inducing Sexual Performance of a Child and another Posession of Child Pornography charge on August 23, 2020. For the BW warrant, his bond was set at $200,000.
This individual is a child predator. In May of 2022, he was arrested in Dallas and charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and Harboring a Runaway Child. The runwaway was a 13-year-old girl from Walker County. Jackson met the girl on a dating app and picked her up in Huntsville. When officers searched Jackson's phone, they found nude images of the girl. Authorities in Dallas would not explain why he was not held on the warrants from Hunt County.
A bench warrant is issued when an accused individual fails to attend a scheduled court appearance, prompting the judge to order their arrest.
