On May 2, 2024, Hunt Regional Healthcare celebrated the grand opening of its new medical facilities, Hunt Regional Family Medicine Emory and Hunt Regional Urgent Care, in Emory, Texas.
Hunt Regional Healthcare, dedicated to "continually improving the health of the people in the communities we serve by providing quality, cost-effective, and service-oriented care," has been serving the Emory community through Hunt Regional Family Medicine for over eight years. Michelle van Fossen, PA-C, has been leading the family medicine office during this time. The recent expansion to include an urgent care clinic reflects the organization's commitment to enhancing healthcare services in the region.
Chad Martin, VP of Clinical Operations for Hunt Regional Healthcare, acknowledged the collaborative efforts of various local entities in making this expansion possible. "The City of Emory Development Corporation Board, Rains County Commissioners Court, and One Rock have been incredible to work with during the planning, development, and construction phases of the Hunt Regional Healthcare Medical Complex. Their passion to provide needed healthcare to the community is evident," Martin said.
The newly opened Hunt Regional Urgent Care is available seven days a week, offering walk-in access for minor emergencies, illnesses, and injuries, such as sprains, strains, cold and flu symptoms, cough, sore throat, earaches, upper respiratory infections, and simple lacerations. The facility also provides X-ray and lab test services.
Hunt Regional Family Medicine continues to offer appointments for wellness, acute, and chronic medical conditions, including physicals and immunizations. Hunt Regional Healthcare aims to build lasting relationships with individuals and families, providing care for every stage of life.
