On Thursday, July 25th, Harrison County Deputies responded to a distress call in the 5700 block of Cooks Rd. An unidentified female reported that 53-year-old Arnold Otto French III was outside her residence causing a disturbance.
Upon arrival, deputies found French combative and belligerent. He subsequently locked himself in a room and threatened the deputies, stating that he had a gun and would shoot them.
After a period of negotiation, deputies forced entry into the room and apprehended French. He was charged with Violation of a Protective Order and Resisting Arrest. His bond was set at $6,000.
French has a history of arrests in Harrison County, including charges related to assaults and family violence.
