Wanted Felon in Wolfe City Apprehended After Chase on Interstate 30

Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 16th, DPS and Hunt County Deputies began following a wanted felon on Interstate 30. When they attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the suspect, identified as Justin Cole Woodruff, fled, prompting a pursuit.

The chase eventually entered Commerce, where the suspect took FM 118 and managed to evade the officers.

On Tuesday afternoon, around noon, Hunt County Deputies located Justin Woodruff of Wolfe City and successfully apprehended him.

Justin Cole Woodruff, 41, of Wolfe City, Texas, was booked into the Hunt County Detention Center on charges of:

  1. Fail to Yield Right of Way at Stop Intersection
  2. Driving While License Invalid - DL
  3. Ride, Not Secured by Safety Belt - Driver (12-1-85) (#)
  4. Ride Not Secured by Safety Belt - Passenger (When Required)
  5. Evading Arrest Det w/Vehicle (for an incident on January 3, 2024)

His bond has been set at $100,000.
