On July 9, 2024, the Daingerfield Police Department initiated an investigation in reference to a report of a person possessing child pornography.
As a result of preliminary investigation, it was discovered that the suspect, identified as Eddie Carroll Dollgener, a 58-year-old male from Daingerfield was in possession of child porn.
Sergeant Susan Laake obtained arrest warrants for Dollgener, charging him with 10 counts of possession of child pornography. On July 12, 2024, Dollgener was placed under arrest without incident. All his electronic devices were confiscated. Additional charges will be pending as the investigation continues.
It has been reported that Dollgener is employed by the Daingerfield Lone Star School District as a teacher's aide and is a bus driver for a local church.
The Daingerfield Police Department is urging anyone with information to contact 903-645-2114.
UPDATE: As of July 16th, Dollgener was served with 20 counts of possession of child pornography, but the investigation continues. The DPD released the following statement: "we want to assure parents in the community that no local child has been identified in any inappropriate evidence as of this date. Please be aware that it will take time to process the evidence thoroughly."
