On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, around 11:49 AM, Sulphur Springs Police officers were dispatched to the Hampton Inn located at the 1200 block of Mockingbird Ln in Sulphur Springs regarding a case of criminal trespass. The individual reporting the incident stated that Kelly Nicole Mangum had previously received a warning for trespassing but was now found inside a room at the hotel.
Upon arrival at the scene, an officer spoke with the manager, who mentioned that Mangum had a spare key hidden on them, allowing access to a room they had stayed in before. The manager informed the officer that Mangum locked herself in the room upon being confronted.
Officers proceeded to the room, knocked on the door, and Mangum opened it, leading to her immediate arrest for trespassing. Mangum was taken into custody and searched.
