On July 3, the Camp County Sheriff’s Office arrested Yulkel Andre Curley, 49, following a warrant issued by the United States District Court, Eastern District of Texas. Curley has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges including Conspiracy to Distribute and Possess with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine (Count 1) and Possession with Intent to Distribute and Distribution of Methamphetamine and Aiding/Abetting (Count 2).
Sheriff John Cortelyou stated that the arrest was the result of ongoing illegal drug investigations conducted in cooperation with the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division (DPS CID).
“DPS has been working in Camp County for the last several years, and this arrest is the result of the cooperation of the two agencies,” Sheriff Cortelyou said.
