On June 27, 2024, Gladewater Police officers responded to a Criminal Trespass in the 1800 block of Old Longview Highway.
Upon arrival, officers met with the complainant, who reported that 40-year-old Michelle Christiana Pena had barricaded herself in a storage building on the property and refused to comply with commands to exit. Pena became increasingly confrontational and resisted officers' attempts to take her into custody. During the struggle, Pena physically assaulted officers, including biting one officer on the left hand and left index finger, breaking the skin and causing minor bleeding.
Pena was transported to Gregg County Jail and charged with Criminal Trespass (M/A), Resisting Arrest (M/A), and Assault of a Peace Officer (F/2). Additionally, it was discovered that Pena had two outstanding Class C warrants in Gregg County. Her bond has been set at $13,000.
