Early morning operations on June 20, 2024, led Henderson County law enforcement to conduct two successful narcotics searches resulting in multiple arrests. At approximately 4:26 AM, Narcotics Investigators Jonathan Daille, Jonathan Barrios, and Brad Beddingfield, accompanied by the Henderson County Crimes Against Children Task Force, executed a search warrant at 14751 County Road 2938 in Eustace, Texas. The warrant, issued by 392nd District Judge Scott McKee, targeted the residence where Richard Lee Slay and Katie Lynn Wiggins were found in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Slay, identified as a wanted fugitive across several counties, was also taken into custody on his outstanding warrants. Both individuals were subsequently booked into Henderson County Jail on charges related to the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.

Later that same day, at approximately 3:34 PM, Investigators Barrios and Daille, alongside the Henderson County Crimes Against Children Task Force, executed another search warrant at 434 West Larkin Street in Athens, Texas. This operation resulted in the arrest of Jordi Pereira, who was found in possession of a significant quantity of suspected cocaine, packaged marijuana, THC wax, THC vape cartridges, rifles with high-capacity magazines, and a substantial amount of cash. Pereira faces multiple charges including manufacture or delivery of controlled substances and possession and delivery of marijuana.

All three individuals arrested—Slay, Wiggins, and Pereira—are currently awaiting arraignment as the investigation continues.
