On Thursday, June 13, 2024, at approximately 10:17 am, the Sherman Police Department responded to a call where a teenage juvenile victim reported an adult male exposed himself in the 4100 block Towncenter Street. The exposure was directly to the victim. The suspect in this case was identified as 27-year-old Christopher Lee Dunlap of Gainesville, TX.
Later in the day on Thursday, the Sherman Police Department responded to a separate call in the 3100 block Rex Cruse Drive in reference to an assault. It was reported a male suspect physically assaulted an adult victim, causing serious but non-life threatening injuries. The suspect also sexually assaulted the victim. The suspect in this investigation was also determined to be Christopher Lee Dunlap.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Dunlap for Aggravated Sexual Assault (Rape) due to his involvement in the second incident. Dunlap was located by the Gainesville Police Department this afternoon and was arrested. A second arrest warrant was obtained for Dunlap for Indecency with a Child Exposes due to his involvement in the first incident. Dunlap is currently in the Cooke County Jail.
