The approval was granted last night, marking the culmination of a lengthy planning process. Greenville Fire-Rescue expressed gratitude for the support received from the City Council, City Administration, and Paris Junior College.
The new facility is designed to support the professional growth of the Greenville Fire Department and ensure top-notch protection for the community. Key features of the facility include:
- Dedicated Training Room
- City Emergency Operations Center
- Backup Dispatch Center
- Backup City Server Room
- Burn/Training Building with multiple Class A and B burn rooms, various technical rescue options, and sprinkler system training
- Support Building with storage for turnout gear, apparatus storage, outdoor classroom, and emergency operations storage
