Super Bowl LIII Champion, current New York Jets Defensive End and former GHS Graduate John Franklin-Myers hosted his 3rd Annual JFM Football Camp at Greenville High School this past weekend. The camp consisted of two separate days, one for high school Offensive and Defensive Linemen and another for elementary and middle school students.
Both days were full of skills and agility training as well as motivation and mental toughness coaching. To wrap up the lineman portion of the camp, participants also took on the challenge of pushing a Greenville Fire Department fire engine.
Franklins-Myers encouraged all of the participants by saying, “At the end we want to see sportsmanship, we want to see winners, we want to see leaders…”
“What a great thing it is for John to give back to his home town and school,” said GISD Athletic Director Darren Duke. “Giving them some hope that a kid from Greenville can make it all the way and be one of the best in the NFL. The camp keeps getting bigger and better each year and we are looking forward to 2024. We will be cheering for John all year!”
