CHRISTUS Health is expanding its cardiology program to the greater Hopkins County community with the establishment of the CHRISTUS Heart & Vascular Institute – Sulphur Springs.
Beginning June 3, cardiologists from the CHRISTUS Heart & Vascular Institute will start seeing patients at the newly formed clinic situated on the campus of CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs. The clinic will offer access to the hospital emergency room, non-invasive cardiovascular services, and the cardiac cath lab.
Paul Harvey, president of CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs, expressed excitement about the expansion, emphasizing the importance of providing top-notch heart care locally.
A blessing ceremony for the new clinic, located at 100 Medical Drive in Sulphur Springs, is scheduled for Monday, June 3 at 11 a.m., with a community grand opening event to follow in the summer.
The institute will collaborate closely with the teams at the CHRISTUS Heart & Vascular Institute and Louis and Peaches Owen Heart Hospital in Tyler. The latter has earned several accolades for its cardiac care, including recognition from the American College of Cardiology and certifications from the American Heart Association and the Joint Commission.
The CHRISTUS Heart & Vascular Institute – Sulphur Springs will be part of the CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic team, which already employs over 100 cardiovascular specialists in Northeast Texas.
