The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office Special Crimes Unit, supported by the Hunt County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division, Hunt County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team, and the U.S. Postal Inspector’s Office, executed an evidentiary search warrant in the 2700 block of County Road 3210.
During the search, investigators discovered a clandestine pill press operation and a marijuana grow on the property. They seized 1,657 grams of substances used to press illicit pills, 6.2 ounces of marijuana, 127 grams of Mephtertramine, 7.1 grams of morphine, 51.6 grams of dangerous drugs, and more than 400 grams of liquid THC. Additionally, four firearms were confiscated.
Two children were removed from the residence with the assistance of Child Protective Services.
A white male, Aaron Taylor Blount, was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including:
- Manufacturing or Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG1 (more than 4 grams but less than 200 grams) - 2 counts
- Manufacturing or Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG3 (more than 28 grams but less than 200 grams)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2 (greater than 400 grams)
- Possession of Marijuana (greater than 4 ounces but less than 5 pounds)
- Abandoning or Endangering a Child
The Drug Enforcement Agency Clandestine Lab Enforcement Team was contacted to process and clean up the lab. Blount's bond has been set at $475,000.
