On February 29, 2024, Sulphur Springs officers responded to a call at the Metro Diner in Sulphur Springs regarding an intoxicated individual.
Upon arrival, officers found Katelin Leann Gumpert seated in the driver's seat of a running vehicle with an open container nearby. Despite attempts to conduct sobriety tests, Gumpert was too intoxicated to complete them. Consequently, officers arrested Gumpert for public intoxication, deeming her a danger to herself and others. She was then transported to Hopkins County jail without issue.
Following protocol, officers inventoried the vehicle, which was subsequently towed by Fuller's Towing.
