At a board meeting held on Tuesday morning, the Greenville ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved a contract with Impact Education Specialists to aid in the search for a new superintendent.
Impact Education Specialists comprises four experienced educators with a total of over 60 years in the field of education. The partners in the firm include Doug Williams, the retired Superintendent of Sunnyvale ISD; Blake Cooper, former Superintendent of Commerce ISD; Kevin Worthy, retired Superintendent of Royse City ISD; and Stan Surratt, the current Superintendent at Lindale ISD.
During the meeting, a tentative timeline was presented by Worthy and Williams. According to this schedule, in-person interviews are scheduled for late February or early March, with the goal of announcing a lone finalist by mid-March. Following the selection of the lone finalist, a mandatory 21-day waiting period, in compliance with state law, will precede the execution of the contract.
As per the projected schedule provided by the search firm, the incoming superintendent is expected to assume duties in May 2024.
