Hearts Around Hunt County Project Brings Vibrancy to Greenville with Colorful Contribution

A burst of color has taken over Greenville, thanks to the "Hearts Around Hunt County" project initiated by the 2022-2023 Chamber of Commerce Hunt County Leadership Class. The Greenville Independent School District (GISD) enthusiastically joined the initiative, contributing a vibrant heart that now graces the front of the Wesley Martin Administration building.

The project, aligned with the theme "Forward Together," saw collaboration from various contributors. Josephine Williams, a junior at Greenville High School (GHS), took the lead in designing the front of the heart, infusing it with spirited elements in her graphic design class. The artistic touch on the back came from GHS Art 3 & 4 students, under the guidance of GHS Art Teacher Bill Shiflet, who dedicated numerous hours to paint and complete the project.

Behind the scenes, GISD's maintenance department played a crucial role, constructing a sturdy base and ensuring a secure installation. Their efforts transformed the vision into a tangible symbol of GISD unity, now standing as a vivid reminder of collective creativity and pride within the school district.

GISD expresses pride in being part of this community-wide initiative, and they extend an invitation to the public to visit and capture a moment with the newly installed heart.
