CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Women’s Board Raises Nearly $300K for Mobile Mammography Vehicle

The CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Women’s Board is proud to announce the raising of $293,333 to be used towards the purchase of a brand-new mobile mammography motor coach.

According to the American Cancer Society, one in eight women in the United States will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. The key to survival is early detection, and mammograms are the best way to detect breast cancer early.

The new motor coach is projected to screen an additional 3,600 people per year, including many who are underserved or underinsured, by providing an additional, reliable mobile mammography unit that offers screenings throughout Smith, Wood, Cherokee, Franklin, Gregg, Rusk, Anderson and Henderson counties.

“Our Women’s Board is very passionate about making a difference in the lives of women and children in our community,” said Robin Rowan, executive director, Trinity Mother Frances Foundation. “We are so grateful for this dedicated group of women who work so hard every year.”

The Women’s Board is a group of passionate, motivated women who work tirelessly each year to dream up, plan and execute a unique series of fundraising events.

The goal of the Women’s Board is to fund critical, often life-saving equipment and programs that ensure the women and children of Northeast Texas receive the best health care possible.

This year’s Women’s Board is co-chaired by Teresa Tosh Langley and Rebecca Wampler.

Since 2005, the CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Women’s Board has raised over $4.3 million in support of women’s and children’s health care services in Northeast Texas.
