A 35-year-old Jasper man, Jesse Howard, was arrested on Thursday evening, April 17, 2025, after allegedly making terroristic threats towards a 15-year-old child.
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at 220 County Rd 351 in Jasper at approximately 6:47 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with multiple witnesses who stated that their neighbor, identified as Jesse Howard, was under the influence and had repeatedly threatened to kill the 15-year-old child. According to witnesses, Howard specifically mentioned using a 12-gauge shotgun on the child.
Deputies made contact with Howard, who appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamines. He reportedly could not clearly explain the situation, only stating that he had yelled at the child to stay on their own property.
Following the investigation, Jesse Howard was taken into custody and charged with Terroristic Threat, a Class B Misdemeanor. He was transported to the Jasper County Jail.
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office emphasized that Mr. Howard is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law and reiterated their commitment to combating criminal activity in the county.
