A 23-year-old man, Jordan Burns, has been arrested in connection to a vehicle pursuit that occurred last month in Sherman. Patrol officers initiated the pursuit, which eventually led onto Highway 75 before authorities made the decision to terminate it.
The suspect vehicle was later discovered wrecked in the 200 block of West Middleton Street; however, the driver and any other occupants were not found at the scene. The case was subsequently turned over to the Sherman Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division for further investigation.
Detectives were able to identify Jordan Burns as the driver of the vehicle. An arrest warrant was obtained for Burns on a charge of Evading Arrest with a Vehicle, a felony. Burns was apprehended over the weekend and is currently being held in the Grayson County Jail.
Authorities indicated that Burns could face additional charges related to the accident that occurred on Middleton Street as the investigation continues.
