Upshur County Sheriff Webb presented Deputy Davidson with the Lifesaving Award on Tuesday, April 15th, recognizing his heroic actions during an overdose call on March 27th, 2025.
Deputy Davidson was dispatched to an overdose incident where an adult male was found unresponsive on the floor, with CPR already in progress. As the first unit to arrive, Deputy Davidson quickly assessed the situation and administered two doses of Narcan. He then continued to provide CPR while ensuring the individual's airway remained clear until EMS personnel arrived.
Thanks to Deputy Davidson’s prompt intervention, the individual began to respond and was subsequently transported to the hospital, ultimately surviving the incident.
Sheriff Webb and the Upshur County Sheriff's Office expressed their sincere gratitude to Deputy Davidson for his swift and decisive actions, highlighting his unwavering service to the citizens of Upshur County.
