The Princeton Police Department has announced the arrest of Travis Allan Mitchell in Phoenix, Arizona, in connection with the death of Delisha Evans. Mitchell is accused of assisting Ryan Phillips in Evans' murder.
On March 25, 2025, Mitchell was apprehended by the Phoenix Police Department, with the assistance of Princeton Police Sergeant Crawford and Detective Peeples. Following an on-site interview, Mitchell was held in the Phoenix Jail before being transported to the Collin County Jail. He is charged with Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair a Human Corpse, a 2nd Degree Felony, and his bond was set at $150,000.

The primary suspect in Delisha Evans' death, Ryan Phillips, was identified on September 6, 2024. Missouri troopers located Phillips, and a pursuit ensued. During the pursuit, the vehicle crashed, and gunshots were reportedly exchanged between Phillips and the troopers. Phillips died at the scene. Inside the vehicle, troopers found Delisha Evans deceased. Evans had been reported missing after a structure fire at her residence in the 3000 block of Winding Meadow.
