Task Force Bust in Marshall Nets Two Arrests, Large Quantity of Narcotics

A joint operation by the Harrison County Violent Crime and Narcotics Task Force on April 3, 2025, resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of a significant amount of illegal drugs at a residence in the 2200 block of Grafton Street in Marshall.

The Task Force, assisted by the Marshall Police Department Special Response Team (SRT) and the Harrison County Sheriff's Office Emergency Response Team (ERT), executed a search warrant targeting Gerrold Deshawn Maze, 50, who was wanted on multiple federal firearm and narcotics charges. Maze was apprehended inside the residence without incident.

During the operation, 36-year-old Kisha Nicole Carlisle was also arrested on drug-related charges.

Following Maze’s arrest, investigators secured a second search warrant for narcotics. The subsequent search of the residence yielded:

  • 34.5 grams of cocaine
  • 66 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • 17.63 ounces of marijuana
  • 1 gram of ecstasy

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities indicate that additional charges may be filed.

Marshall Police Chief Cliff Carruth emphasized the collaborative effort between the Marshall Police Department and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, stating, "This operation demonstrates the ongoing commitment of our agencies to keeping our communities safe by targeting violent offenders and narcotics trafficking. We will continue working together to remove dangerous drugs and individuals from our streets."
