On Monday, February 24, 2025, Longview firefighters and animal control officers successfully rescued a dog that had fallen into a well beneath a house.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene after receiving a call about the trapped animal. Working together, they carefully retrieved the dog and brought it safely to the surface. The dog was shaken but unharmed.
In an effort to ensure the dog’s well-being, one of the rescuers has offered to adopt it if an owner cannot be located.
The Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center and Longview Fire Department expressed gratitude to all involved in the rescue, highlighting the teamwork and dedication that led to the dog's safe recovery.
