A 56-year-old woman was killed Saturday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle in the 600 block of E Moore Avenue, according to the Terrell Police Department.
At approximately 1:10 p.m. on March 1, 2025, multiple 9-1-1 calls reported a pedestrian had been hit. Terrell Police and Fire Department responded and found the victim unresponsive on the ground. CPR was initiated and continued after CareFlite arrived on the scene.
The woman, identified as Tammie Renee Diaz, was transported by ground to Baylor Scott and White in Forney, where she was pronounced deceased at 2:10 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as William Dodson, 63, of Kaufman, Texas, was operating a 2024 Ford F-150 at the time of the incident.
An Advanced Accident Investigator responded to the scene to conduct a further investigation.
