On February 20, 2025, at approximately 10:50 PM, Longview Police Officers responded to a reported shooting related to a domestic disturbance in the 3000 block of Bernice Drive. The two victims managed to drive to another location, where they received medical assistance before being transported to a local hospital by the Longview Fire Department.
Through their investigation, police identified 19-year-old Demetrius Domonique Walter of Marshall as the suspect in the shooting. Walter was subsequently arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon Family Member Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury. His bond has been set at $250,000.
