A vehicle stolen from Mount Pleasant in Titus County was recovered early Thursday morning, February 13, 2025, following a coordinated effort by the Sulphur Springs Police Department.
Authorities tracked the stolen vehicle’s movement through Sulphur Springs and initiated surveillance. At approximately 1:29 a.m., officers located the car near westbound I-30 at Mile Marker 122 and confirmed it was the reported stolen vehicle. Officers followed the car until additional units arrived, then conducted a felony traffic stop.
The driver, 21-year-old Alexander Reyes-Ramirez, was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Hopkins County Jail and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle (UUMV). His bond was set at $5,000.
Reyes-Ramirez is known to law enforcement in Titus County, with multiple prior arrests. In 2024, he was charged with criminal trespass. In 2023, he faced charges for tobacco and drug-related offenses, evading arrest with a prior conviction, and failure to appear in court. His 2022 record includes arrests for theft, drug possession, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and criminal mischief.
