Fire crews from multiple departments responded to a structure fire early Friday morning at a single-family residence in the 6200 block of FM 1570.
The call came in at 2:07 a.m., prompting South Hunt County Fire Rescue to dispatch units from the Cash Fire Station, joined by Caddo Mills Fire Rescue, Greenville Fire-Rescue, and Lone Oak Fire Department. South Hunt County Squad 20 and Chief 2 were the first to arrive, finding smoke emerging from the roof of the home.
All occupants had safely evacuated before firefighters entered the residence. The Squad 20 crew initiated an offensive fire attack and primary search, supported by firefighters from Greenville and Caddo Mills.
The fire, which originated in a bedroom and extended into the attic, was successfully contained and extinguished. Despite their efforts, the home sustained significant smoke and fire damage.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
