On December 31, 2024, Commerce Police officers arrested 39-year-old Dante Dias Wade in connection with an outstanding warrant for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. The warrant, issued by the 354th District Court in Hunt County, stemmed from an offense that occurred on September 23, 2024.
Wade, who was already on parole for a previous Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon conviction, faces additional legal consequences following the new charge. He was sentenced in 2022 to 8 years of probation with 100 hours of community service after pleading guilty to the same offense. However, a motion to revoke his probation was filed on December 6, 2024, due to the new charge.
Wade's total bond has been set at $225,000.
