Woman Arrested for Meth Possession at Vacant Hopkins County Residence

Katelyn Lenae Davis

On December 23, 2024, Hopkins County deputies responded to a call on FM 69 South regarding a female trespassing at a vacant residence recently damaged by fire.

Upon arrival, deputies encountered Katelyn Lenae Davis, who stated she had been dropped off to house-sit and search for a kitten. During the investigation, deputies found Davis’s personal belongings inside the home. When asked to identify her items, she provided unclear answers.

Deputies discovered a glass pipe with residue, commonly used for smoking methamphetamine, in a room linked to Davis. She was taken into custody and transported to the Hopkins County Jail. During booking, jail staff found a plastic bag containing a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine. The bag and its contents weighed 0.59 grams.

Davis was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 < 1G and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $2,000. Deputies continue to investigate her presence at the property.
