On Saturday, December 21, at approximately 6:14 PM, McKinney Police officers responded to a hit-and-run incident near the intersection of Lake Forest Drive and Highlands Drive involving a 14-year-old male pedestrian.
The teenager was struck by a dark-colored, four-door sedan that fled the scene. The suspect vehicle may have front-end damage and possible damage to the passenger-side mirror. A second vehicle stopped to render aid, and McKinney Fire Department personnel performed life-saving measures. The teenager was transported to a local hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
