Hunt County deputies captured Damen Jacob Gutierrez, 31, of Quinlan, on Thursday, December 19, 2024, after he had been on the run since October 2024. Gutierrez was wanted on charges of Aggravated Kidnapping with a Deadly Weapon and Parole Violation.
The warrants for his arrest were issued by the 196th District Court in Hunt County, with a bond set at $500,000. He also faced a parole violation for an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon charge from Kaufman County.
The original incident occurred on Sunday, October 20, 2024, when the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office responded to a kidnapping call in the 6800 block of County Road 3512 in Quinlan. Deputies found that a female victim had been taken from the residence at gunpoint. She was later located and released safely in Kaufman County.
Gutierrez was identified as the suspect during the investigation, leading to his arrest in December.
