Michael Glenn Carruth has been convicted of three counts of rape and sentenced to 150 years in prison.
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department (TAPD) initiated an investigation into Carruth in November 2023 after receiving an alert from a state agency regarding allegations of child sexual abuse.
Through collaborative efforts with the Texarkana Advocacy Center and the Miller County Prosecutor's Office, TAPD investigators built a strong case against Carruth, leading to his arrest and subsequent conviction.
The department expressed gratitude to all involved in the case, including the jurors, the Texarkana Children's Advocacy Center, and law enforcement partners.
TAPD emphasized its commitment to protecting children and pursuing justice in cases of child abuse.
The conviction of Carruth is expected to provide some measure of justice and peace to the victim and their family.
