Gregg County CODE Unit and SWAT Team Seize Fentanyl Pills and Firearms in Longview Raid

On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, the Gregg County Organized Drug Enforcement (CODE) Unit, assisted by the Longview SWAT Team, executed a search warrant in the 900 block of Doyle Street in Longview.

During the operation, officers seized approximately 440 counterfeit Percocet Fentanyl pills, two stolen handguns reported out of Longview, and a rifle.

Two individuals were arrested and transported to the Gregg County Jail without incident. Desmond Lamar Simmons, 35, of Longview, was charged with Manufacturing and Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1-B 4g<200g and two counts of Theft of a Firearm. Simmons has an extensive criminal history involving drug possession, drug distribution, and unlawful possession of firearms.

Baylin Kylee-Nichole Harris, 20, of Ore City, was arrested on a warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance PG3<28G related to an offense from February 2022. Harris’s bond was set at $5,000.
