Winnsboro Independent School District announced the passing of Mrs. Clara Ziegler, a dedicated school board member who served the district from 1998 to 2018. Over her 20 years of service, Mrs. Ziegler played a pivotal role in shaping the district’s future, including helping to pass a $31.5 million bond in 2017, which led to the construction of a new high school.
A proud graduate of Winnsboro High School’s Class of 1959, Mrs. Ziegler remained a steadfast supporter of Winnsboro ISD and the Winnsboro Education Foundation even after her board tenure ended. Her dedication and contributions leave a lasting legacy within the district.
“Our hearts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time,” the district stated.
