Wolfe City House Fire Leaves One Injured, Firefighters Contain Blaze

On Friday night, just after 7 p.m., multiple fire departments responded to a structure fire within the city limits of Wolfe City. Units from Wolfe City Fire Department (Engine 1, Engine 2, and Tanker 3), Commerce Fire-Rescue (Engine 4), and Celeste Volunteer Fire Department (Tanker 36) were dispatched to a single-story residence in Box 13-4-5.

WCFD Engine 1 and Engine 2 arrived within minutes to find heavy smoke coming from the home and one burn victim located outside the structure. Crews from Engine 1 and Engine 2 launched an aggressive interior attack, finding fire in a bedroom that had spread into a hallway. While Engine 1 focused on extinguishing the flames, Engine 2 began a primary search of the residence, prioritizing areas near the fire.

The blaze was contained, and the search revealed no additional victims inside the residence. Meanwhile, WCFD personnel provided advanced life support treatment to the burn victim, who was later transported to a local hospital for further care.

Commerce Fire-Rescue Engine 4 and Celeste Volunteer Fire Department Tanker 36 assisted with salvage and overhaul operations to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
