A student altercation at Wylie High School on November 21, 2024, led to a swift response by school resource officers and administrators. The incident, which occurred around 1:30 pm, involved a disagreement between students, and while efforts were made to de-escalate the situation, one student became non-compliant. To ensure the safety of all involved, additional officers were called to the scene.
The situation was resolved without any injuries to students or officers. Both Wylie ISD and the Wylie Police Department have addressed circulating rumors suggesting a taser was used during the incident, confirming that this is not true.
The case has been referred to Wylie Municipal Court for further review. Due to privacy laws, the identities of the students involved are not being released.
