Chef Ivan Aguilar, a celebrated culinary expert with experience in Michelin-starred restaurants, visited Greenville High School on Tuesday to work with Culinary Arts students in preparation for their upcoming Lion's Lair Café Night. The event, set for Thursday, will feature a Mexican cuisine-inspired menu crafted by the students.
Aguilar, whose family includes educators within the Greenville Independent School District, shared his expertise with the students, offering valuable insight into the culinary industry. Known for his work in award-winning kitchens across the nation, he is now bringing his talents to the Greenville community as the owner of Luke's, a Southern "coast to coast" diner set to open soon.
The Lion’s Lair Café Night will showcase the students' skills, and Aguilar's visit serves as a reminder of the importance of mentorship in nurturing the next generation of culinary talent.
