SWAT Intervention Leads to Arrest in Hunt County Molotov Cocktail Incident

Thomas Scott Bow

On June 27, 2024, the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding an incident involving a Molotov cocktail. The call came from a resident reporting that their neighbor had thrown a Molotov cocktail onto their driveway. Deputies arrived at the scene and spoke with the complainant, who provided home video surveillance footage showing 53-year-old Thomas Scott Bow of Caddo Mills throwing a makeshift incendiary device onto the driveway.

Efforts to contact Bow led to him retreating into his residence and barricading himself after becoming agitated. Following unsuccessful negotiations for him to exit the residence, the Hunt County SWAT team was deployed to intervene.

After entering the residence, the SWAT team arrested Bow without further issue. He is currently held at the Hunt County Jail on a warrant related to charges of MTR/Theft of Property >= $2,500<$30,000.
